This is official description
It's not easy to survive under the alien sky when there's always someone to burst you with his weaponry or overcome with his tactics. However you have to. Cause you and your ultramodern space-fighter are the only chance to prevent alien invasion which is almost ready to start, turning your homeworld into ruins.
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 1.5
Alien Sky is a really fun shoot-em-up game. With the help of an "advanced space-fighter" you will have to prevent an alien force from attacking the Earth. The objective is simple: shoot and destroy as many aliens as you can, and avoid their bullets and missiles. As you get to pass levels, aliens get faster and smarter. While playing, you will find many power-ups and downs like homing missiles, sticky mines, shields and more.
Alien Sky presents a nice interface with decent graphics and sounds. It will definitely remind you of those old fashioned Arcade Games where you had to shoot at battle formations of enemy aliens in a single screen. This may be a good thing for those who loved to play with their Atari during long hours, and a bad thing for gamers who prefer advanced three-dimensional graphics and sounds.
I had a good time playing this game, if you feel curious, a 60 minutes trial is available for download. It is compatible with Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP, there are not versions available for Mac. |
